Love this, Lisa - reading it on a drizzling, cold Monday morning and I'm now dreaming of wandering the streets of Glasgow, searching for bars. (And, an Oasis earworm belting out in my head)) Thank you for the recommendation... heading across to read them in a sec xx

Thank you, Narina! Can definitely recommend searching out bars in Glasgow (though it's almost certainly drizzling there too)

Wow thanks for the shoutout and recommendation! Any chance you were in Yorkshire?? Hopefully you managed to avoid the absolute deluge this past Thursday. I'm curious what your route was like - we should compare notes!

My pleasure! I was in the Cotswolds, nor Yorkshire, but met some folks who were headed to The Woolpack based on your recommendation. And yes, total deluge!

It was a couple from NY who told me they had read about it in a Substack. Admittedly, they didn't specify which Substack. But I feel like it is safe to assume it was yours.

You have a deliciously dry sense of humour, Lisa.

King Tut's sounds a bit like Pappy and Harriets Palace in Joshua Tree back in the day

Thanks so much, you two! And I like the sound--to say nothing of the name!--of Pappy and Harriet's place.
